Can the system be used for nightly open dining?
Yes. The system can accept reservations based on a time period (i.e. 5:30, 6:00…), and total covers. This is an ideal function for the system, removing your staff from answering the phone and giving the members 24-hour access to dining reservations.

Can members sign up for events such as the President's Ball?
Yes. The system has the ability to handle both first come first serve and lottery style events. The system can also track the member's meal choice (meat, fish or poultry) during the reservation process, assisting the kitchen staff with ordering.

We have some events that sell out very fast. How do we make it fair for all the members?
The club can set up an event on a lottery basis. Using the lottery, members make a request to dine. The system randomly selects diners until the event is full. Members no longer have to wait in line or call at a certain time to sign up.

How are reservations made?
Members can use a touch-tone telephone, touch screen terminals located in the clubhouse or the Internet. The reservation staff can manually enter reservations for those clubs that want to maintain the personal touch.

How far in advance can we accept reservations?
It is up to the club. The system has the ability to accept reservations up to one year in the future.

How do we stop duplicate reservations?
The system automatically rejects duplicate reservations when the reservation is made.

How do members review their reservations?
There are five ways in which members can review reservations.

  • Call the telephone system 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and review all confirmed reservations in one telephone call. The system will tell the member the day of the week, date, time, restaurant/event and the other diners in the party.
  • The system will email confirmations.
  • Review alphabetical reservation reports which can be posted in the clubhouse.
  • Review reservations via touch screen terminals.
  • Review reservations via the Internet.

Can members make special requests?
The system has the ability to handle special requests (i.e. needs birthday cake…) and print the information on seating reports. The reservation staff usually handles this function.

How do we handle guest restrictions?
The system is designed to enforce your club guest restrictions. Restrictions can be set up by day, time of day, facility, membership type and on seasonal dates.

How do we handle different membership types?
The system can handle up to 99 membership types. Each membership type can be restricted by range of dates, restaurant or event.

Can members cancel a reservation?
Members can cancel a reservation via the phone system with the proper confirmation number and member ID.

What does the Fine Dining Reservation system run on?
The reservation system is a true 32-bit Windows application running on Windows 2000 Professional or XP Professional for all workstations. The reservation system is a multi-user application that runs on a Windows Peer to Peer, Windows NT or Novel network.
